About Your Instructor – David Grant

I'm David Grant—an avid salsa social dancer with a lifelong passion for movement, performance, and injury recovery. My academic background includes a degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training and a Master’s in Human Performance and Injury Prevention. Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked with Olympic and world champions, elite sports academies, and professional dancers from renowned companies like Cirque du Soleil, the Stuttgart Ballet, and international artists like Nerea Perez and Luis Vázquez.

But I don’t just teach this—I’ve lived it. I’ve battled through scoliosis, a lifetime of sports injuries from high-level lacrosse and competitive running (top 3 in my state), and even a tibial plateau fracture where I was told I wouldn’t walk for 8 weeks. With my own methods and the doctor’s approval, I was back dancing salsa in just five weeks.

Today, I run AmericanPTStuttgart and lecture as a docent for the Sports Science Department at the University of Tübingen. This course is everything I wish I had during my toughest injuries—now built for dancers like you.
