agios stefanos beach
2nd Stop - 100' - (Option 3)
Departure: 12:00

One of the most photogenic beaches in Kos, Agios Stefanos manages to combine an impressive collection of talents. A long beach of sand and fine pebbles in Kefalos Bay, it is ideal for families and couples looking to spend a day by the sea.
But if you’re suffering a pang of guilt that you really should be soaking up a bit more culture, you can put down your bucket and spade at any time and amble over to of a pair of 5th-6th century AD churches, right alongside the beach.
The remains of columns, mosaic floors, baptisteries and other features give you the feeling that you’ve uncovered a lost treasure. And at the same time, there’s a strangely cosmopolitan air to the site – as if a magazine photo shoot is about to break out at any moment, with a backdrop of the Aegean Sea.
The setting is completed by the view of the islet of Kastri within the bay, with its elegant little blue-domed church dedicated to Agios Nikolaos (the patron saint of sailors) and the striking rocky outcrop rising from the island’s centre. You can catch a boat to the island, or even swim over, to have a look around.

Tip: Make sure you have enough water with you, a hat and sunscream because the sun is burning like a Bachater@. HOT! Next stop: Mastichari Beach.

Captivating Sunsets

Mastichari beach will be our final stop of our roadtrip. There we will have around 3.5 hours to enjoy the beach with a SBK party at Saloon Beach Bar. Participants can also visit nearby restaurants to taste local food or cocktails. The highlight of the day will be the sunset time, as we will watching it by dancing in the rhythms of Bachata!
TIPS:
✔️ Get enough sunscream
Greek sun is burning wild hot! Make sure you have a sunscream with a high degree as we will exposed to the sun for many hours
✔️ Wear a hat
Same tip as the sunscream, wearing a hat can protect you for most of the hours.
✔️ Have a large bottle of water
We will be several hours outside of the hotel and in the beach of Agios Stefanos might be tricky to purchase drinks as there are not many bars nearby. We advise you to have a bottle of water with you as it will needed.
✔️ Carry an emergency snack
Having a snack that can ease the hunger, is always a good tip. It will take us a while to reach Mastichari and find a restaurant that can serve us fast enough, so having a snack will make sure you will avoid intense hunger kicks.
